About the directory
SoundJourney.com is an advertising directory. Independent practitioners, integration specialists, teachers, schools, instrument makers, shops, venues, event hosts, retreat providers, and other businesses and professionals create and maintain their own listings. SoundJourney.com does not vet, certify, employ, recommend, or endorse advertisers.
Advertiser accounts and agreement
Anyone who creates an account or submits a listing must be at least 18 years old and have legal authority to act for the person or organization named in the listing. By submitting a listing, the advertiser agrees to these Terms and the Advertiser Guidelines, which form part of these Terms.
Rights to submitted content
By submitting text, photographs, audio, video, links, or other material, advertisers confirm that they own the material or have permission to use and publish it. Advertisers authorize SoundJourney.com to host, display, reproduce, and present that material as reasonably necessary to operate, promote, and display their listing and the SoundJourney.com directory.
Approved listing content is public and may appear in search engines.
Visitor responsibility
Visitors must make their own inquiries and decisions. Check identity, credentials, licenses, insurance, references, safety practices, prices, refund terms, accessibility, and suitability before buying, booking, or attending anything.
SoundJourney.com does not arrange or take payment for sessions, products, courses, events, retreats, travel, accommodation, or venue reservations.
Health and safety
Step-free access and other accessibility information, including wheelchair symbols, are supplied by advertisers. SoundJourney.com does not verify or guarantee these claims. Confirm your specific access needs directly with the venue or event host before booking or attending.
SoundJourney.com does not provide medical, mental-health, diagnostic, therapeutic, or emergency services. Directory content and sound-based practices are not medical advice.
Integration Support listings may include licensed clinicians and non-clinical practitioners. Each advertiser is responsible for accurately representing their credentials, licenses, qualifications, and scope of practice.

Confidential and health information
SoundJourney.com is a directory and is not intended for the exchange or storage of patient or client health records.
Do not submit medical records, diagnoses, treatment records, therapy notes, confidential client information, Protected Health Information, or similar sensitive health information through SoundJourney.com, Profile Studio, listing forms, enquiries, or other site tools.
Outside sites and direct dealings
Listings link to sites and services operated by others. SoundJourney.com does not control their content, security, availability, prices, policies, or conduct. Agreements and disputes between visitors and advertisers remain between those parties.
Service availability and responsibility
SoundJourney.com may change, suspend, or discontinue features and cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free service.
To the fullest extent allowed by applicable law, SoundJourney.com is not responsible for losses caused by independent advertisers, visitor decisions, outside sites, or events beyond SoundJourney.com’s reasonable control.

Privacy Policy
Who operates SoundJourney.com
SoundJourney.com is operated by Richard Grossman, who is responsible for deciding how and why personal information collected through SoundJourney.com is used.
Information collected
SoundJourney.com collects account details, contact information, profile and listing content, membership choices, event and retreat information, messages sent through the site, newsletter choices, support requests, authentication information, and basic technical information needed for security and site operation.
Stripe handles card details. SoundJourney.com does not store full card numbers.
Why it is used
Information is used to create and maintain accounts, publish listings, process memberships, operate member tools, deliver private enquiries, respond to support requests, send required account, security, billing, and renewal notices, prevent misuse, protect the service, and send the newsletter when a person chooses it.
Where applicable under privacy law, personal information is processed as needed to provide requested services, with consent for optional communications, for legitimate interests including security, fraud prevention, support, and operation of the directory, and when necessary to comply with legal obligations.
Private site measurement
SoundJourney.com keeps private counts of home-page visits and selected actions such as opening listing plans, choosing a plan, beginning an account, submitting a listing, sending an enquiry, following an external link, joining the newsletter, or reaching an empty search. A one-way daily identifier prevents repeated actions from being counted again during the same day. Search words, names, email addresses, messages, and raw internet addresses are not stored with these counts.
The measurement does not set an advertising cookie, use third-party advertising analytics, or display individual visitor information.
Cookies and device storage
SoundJourney.com uses cookies and browser storage that are necessary for account access, security, member tools, language and display choices, saved items, unfinished work, referral information, and other features a visitor or member requests. Blocking this storage may prevent parts of the site from working correctly.
SoundJourney.com does not currently use advertising cookies, behavioral tracking, or third-party advertising analytics.
Embedded Spotify, YouTube, and Vimeo players are not loaded unless a visitor chooses to allow them. If players are allowed, the visitor's browser connects to the selected provider, which may use cookies or similar technologies under its own privacy terms. Visitors who choose necessary storage only can still open media on the provider's own website. The choice is remembered for up to 180 days and can be changed at any time through the Cookie choices link in the footer.
Who processes it
SoundJourney.com uses service providers to operate the site, including Supabase for accounts and stored site data, Stripe for billing, Resend for email delivery, OpenAI for ChatGPT Sites infrastructure and the optional Profile Studio tools, and Google Cloud Translation when a member asks to translate the member interface or receive account and membership email in another language.
OpenAI hosts and operates the ChatGPT Sites infrastructure used by SoundJourney.com and may process information collected through the site as necessary to host, maintain, secure, and support the service.
Passwords and text entered in application fields are not sent for interface translation.
Providers process information under their own security and privacy terms.
Opening an embedded Spotify player connects your browser to Spotify, whose privacy and cookie terms apply.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect people, rights, property, or the service.
Optional Profile Studio
Profile Studio is optional.
When a member chooses to use Profile Studio, SoundJourney.com processes the sources, text, photographs, and other material selected by the member. Selected material may be sent to OpenAI for AI-assisted research, drafting, revision, factual checking, and photo recommendations.
Profile Studio does not publish anything automatically. The member reviews and approves the resulting material before it is added to the profile form or submitted through the normal SoundJourney.com review process.
Do not enter medical records, diagnoses, treatment information, therapy notes, confidential client information, Protected Health Information, passwords, financial-account information, or other information that should remain private into Profile Studio.
Email choices
The newsletter is optional. A member’s account email is still used for verification, security, billing, renewal, and service messages. Members may choose a preferred language for application and membership messages. Automatically translated messages also include the English original. Newsletters are sent in English.
SoundJourney.com will not sell email addresses or give them to advertisers for their own marketing. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe method.
Public information
Published practitioner, integration specialist, event, retreat, course, school, business, instrument, service, and venue information is public and may appear in search engines.
Members choose the information they submit for publication. Do not publish personal, confidential, medical, client, or other information that should remain private.
Storage, security, and retention
SoundJourney.com uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. No online system can guarantee absolute security.
Records are kept for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, meet legal and accounting duties, resolve disputes, protect the service, and prevent abuse. Information may then be deleted or de-identified when it is no longer reasonably needed, subject to applicable legal requirements.
International use
SoundJourney.com serves people in many countries. Information may be processed in the United States or other countries where service providers operate.
Depending on applicable law, privacy rights may include access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, objection to certain processing, withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent, or receipt of a copy of personal information.
Children
Accounts and Enhanced or Featured listings are intended for adults. SoundJourney.com does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Where local law establishes a higher minimum age for creating an online account without parental consent, that law applies.
